Emberfall Legends
Emberfall Legends looks tiny in screenshots and turns out to be surprisingly deep. You build a party of four, each with their own quirks, and fight through turn-based battles where positioning matters as much as raw stats. I lost a few fights early on simply because I kept ignoring the back-row buffs — once it clicked, the combat opened up beautifully.
The writing carries it. Side characters have real voices, choices nudge the plot in small ways, and there's a dry sense of humor running underneath the dramatic bits. Progression is generous without being mindless; you always feel like the next skill is worth grinding one more dungeon for.
My only gripe is a slow first hour. Push past it and you'll find one of the more thoughtful mobile RPGs around.
